Yawanawa Immersion with Matsini and Family – Aldeia Akasha

From March 27 to 29, 2026, Aldeia Akasha, a sacred space in the mountains of Itaipava (RJ), will host the final immersion of this season with the Yawanawa people from Mutum Village, located in the Gregório region of Acre.

Matsini Yawanawá is a respected chief, spiritual leader, and shaman of Mutum Village in Acre, descended from a lineage of masters of the Yawanawa people. Recognized for strengthening traditions, Matsini is a musician and guardian of his culture who leads spiritual diets, sacred chants, and shares Amazonian wisdom internationally. This time, he is accompanied by Manxy Vake, his wife; Kuru, his son and dedicated student; as well as Kenemani, Shauma, Keneihu, Keneweci, and Yawan, all of whom are his family members and students.

The Guardians Huni Kuin Group of Rio de Janeiro, which for two decades has sustained a living bridge between the forest and the city, is deeply honored to welcome each person who comes to learn from the Indigenous peoples.

• Arrival: from 5:00 PM – Friday, March 27

• 7:00 PM – Light dinner

• 10:00 PM – Ceremony

• 6:00 AM – Closing

• 8:00 AM – Breakfast

• 1:00 PM – Departure/Lunch for full immersion participants

• March 28 – Second Ceremony

• 4:00 PM – Arrival of Saturday participants

Same schedule as the previous day

• March 29 – Departure by 1:00 PM (no lunch will be served)

• Recommended attire: long and comfortable clothing. Avoid low-cut tops, transparent fabrics, and clothing above the knee; the intention is to preserve and respect our bodies.

• Recording of ceremonies (photo, video, or audio) is strictly prohibited, except for the authorized team.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation up to 7 days in advance: the amount may be used toward another retreat within 12 months after cancellation.

• Cancellation less than 7 days in advance: no refund, except in justified exceptional cases.
